Extra Cheesy Garlic Bread is so delicious you’ll find yourself addicted. I can’t seem to find anything as good and I find myself longing for something more like this even when I’m at a restaurant!
I actually can’t take all the credit for this one. We have been making this garlic bread in my family since I was a kid. My mom pioneered this recipe, I think she was going for a dupe of the “Clearman’s Spread”. Now this method is just second nature to my sisters and I, we can whip this up at any time!
If you don’t know, Clearman’s Spread is the best semi-store-bought garlic bread you can buy if you don’t feel like totally cooking. It still requires you to spread this on bread and bake it, so why not just take a couple minutes and make it yourself? It’s so easy and you probably have everything in your pantry already.
I think I love this Extra Cheesy Garlic Bread so much because it’s a little tangy, salty and so flavorful. I also love that it’s not completely butter based and it’s a unified spread that evenly covers the bread, soaking the bread with all that goodness.
Once you add all the ingredients together it forms a soft malleable paste you can spread over the bread. Bake for 10-15 minutes and broil the top for extra deep cheesy flavor. This recipe is so simple you’ll be able to make this on the fly anytime you need a sidekick for pasta or a saucy dinner.
