This is my last Del Taco copycat recipe (for now).
I had to include this one because it’s so unique to Del Taco that any old chili cheese fries don’t compare. I always wondered why the chilli is so different, I just figured it was because there are no beans. It’s a zesty chilli and thinner, so the fries really soak up the sauce. When I was researching on the Del Taco website, I found out that their chilli is actually just ground taco meat and the red sauce! No wonder I like it so much, I could drink that red sauce!

COPYCAT Del Taco: Chilli Cheese Fries

Ingredients
- 1 cup Copycat Del Taco Red Sauce
- 1 Cup Ground Taco Meat
- Dash of water
- Crinkle cut fries (air fried or baked) and freshly grated sharp cheddar.
Directions
- Step 1
- In a small sauce pan, add the red sauce and taco meat. add the dash of water and stir until combined. Bring to a simmer.
- Step 2
- Top crinkle cut fries with the chilli and grated cheese.
