This Winter Winetini was inspired by Bridget Jones and her love of Chardonnay.
Before you come for me, Bridget Jones’s Diary is a Christmas movie! Tell me there is something more romantic than a whole year of sloppy, complicated drama to bring you true love for the holidays?! Didn’t think so…
I have never attempted a wine cocktail before but I knew it would be splendid. Something called to me and I ran with it. I asked my bartender friend for some inspiration, and after some collaboration, this is what I came up with.
I like to make simple cocktails at home that taste like I transported to a fancy bar. After COVID, I still don’t feel particularly comfortable out and about yet. My inner introvert has definitely been comfortable in the safety of my home for a while now, so I’ve learned to enjoy the luxuries of yesteryear at home.
This cocktail is all about love finding you, no matter how complicated things are. I know Bridget would cheers me to that! So remember friends: Always stay true to yourself and what is meant to be, will come to you.
Cheers!
