  • 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • ½ cup Boiling Water

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325F.
  • Place ¼ cup of butter in the bottom of an 8X8 Baking dish and place in the oven to melt.
While the butter melts (about 10 minutes) mix the biscuit together and the sugar topping.

Chocolate Biscuit

  • In a large bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder. Whisk until combined.
  • With a wooden spoon, stir the melted butter and milk into the biscuit. It will be thick and lumpy. Do not over mix.
  • Whisk the sugar, cocoa powder and corn starch together and set aside.
  • Once the butter in the dish is melted, take it out and evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips on the bottom. Spread the biscuit over the chocolate.
  • Once the biscuit is spread out, sprinkle the sugar mixture all over the top. Pour boiling water over the sugar, do not mix.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, it will look crusty on the top but wet and bubbling from the bottom.
  • Let sit for 10 minutes before enjoying. Pair with your favorite ice cream and enjoy!
